This fundamental introductory course will offer a broad perspective, from the historical origins of Alevism to its modern-day reflections. The main topics to be covered in our course include:
- The core philosophy of Alevism: The path of Hakk-Muhammad-Ali and its human-centric viewpoint.
- Key concepts: The "Four Doors and Forty Stations," the principle of "Be master of your hand, your waist, your tongue," consent (rızalık), and the rights of others.
- Faith rituals: The Cem ceremony, Semah, the Fast of Hızır, and the Mourning of Muharram.
- Cultural elements: The importance of the Saz (bağlama), "deyiş" (hymns), "nefes" (poems), and the bardic tradition.
